Since Safari Sound was born in 2003, the first half of 2016 has been the most silent we’ve ever been. Due to various reasons we haven’t been on the road as much as we usually are but that’s about to change. For the past 10 years the faces and voices of Safari Sound have been Shirkhan and Sammy K. All that is about to change however as we’d like to introduce to you the newest member of the Safari Sound family, DJ Autograph.
Throughout the years we’ve worked with Autograph on various project and as we got to know each other we bonded over our shared passion of dancehall culture. When we decided to make DJ Autograph a part of the team it felt natural as he has been around us for such a long time. At the moment DJ Autograph is based in New York where he DJs various parties around the city in addition to co-producing some of wickedest remixes you’ll ever hear and working as a radio engineer for Red Bull Studios. We are looking forward to the rest of 2016 and we are ready to mash up some works together with DJ Autograph.
In order to introduce DJ Autograph he will start with a new monthly mix series called Safari Sound Waves. This is the first installment.

Some years ago when Riddim Magazine started to put out issues in English, the whole world were happy that there finally was a proper magazine about reggae, in English! Unfortunately this did not last to long and the Riddim Magazine crew decided to only produce the magazine in German, as it was from the beginning. To bad for us non-German speakers!
However if you speak German, make sure you pick up this issue of Riddim Magazine where there is a full page interview with Safari Sound. We also did a mini dubplate mix for the CD that comes with the magazine. You might think that there´s no idea for you to grab a magazine which is in a language that you might not be familiar with, just to hear that dubplate mix. Don´t worry, you can also check it online on our soundcloud page. Just check bellow:
